Thyroid gland issues can resultin the cardiac problems. One of the most important reasons to diagnose andtreat thyroid disease is to prevent the cardiac conditions that can result fromit. Thyroiddisease affects the heart either by producing too little thyroidhormone (a condition called hypothyroidism) or toomuch thyroid hormone (called hyperthyroidism). Bothtype of thyroid disorders can have a significant effect on the heart.Researchers shows two thyroid disorders – subclinical hypothyroidism and low T3syndrome – might make heartfailure worse.
